Refer multilingual support content with the customer journey in view

By Enuncia Global ·

Customer-support content often repeats the same product terms across many short messages. A referral is more useful when it shows how those pieces connect and which customer task each one supports.

List the content and its context

Identify help articles, frequently asked questions, automated messages and templates separately. Record the target language, audience and product version. Provide approved terminology and screenshots where the client has permission to share them, so short phrases can be understood in context.

Ask whether there are character limits, placeholders or links that must remain intact. Explain the source format and expected return format. A spreadsheet of text strings should identify where each string appears rather than leaving the translator to infer its meaning.

Keep source changes and review ownership clear

Name the product or support reviewer who can answer questions. If the help centre is changing, identify the version being reviewed and how updates will be supplied. Translation work should not be assumed to include publishing into the client's support platform.
