Translation Referral Checklist and Brief Template

Enuncia Global programme guidance · Updated 13 October 2026

A useful referral gives Enuncia enough context to assess a requirement without making promises on its behalf. Use this checklist before introducing a client, and share personal documents only through the agreed private channel.

The seven questions to answer

If a detail is unknown, label it unknown. A referral partner should not infer what an embassy, university or other recipient will accept. Ask the client for the recipient's written instructions and pass those instructions through for assessment.

  • Who needs the work, and have they agreed to the introduction?
  • What is the intended use and receiving organisation?
  • What are the source and target languages?
  • Which documents or media files are involved, and what is their volume?
  • Are complete, readable source files available?
  • What exact delivery deadline and timezone apply?
  • Has the recipient specified certification, format or other requirements?

Worked example: an education enquiry

Illustrative scenario, not a client case study: a student asks about translating a Hindi marksheet into English for a university application. The partner records the institution, the client's stated deadline, the number of pages and whether reverse-side entries exist. The institution's written requirements are attached privately with the student's permission.

The partner does not promise certification or acceptance. Enuncia reviews the material, asks any necessary questions and discusses the accepted scope and quote. The written partner agreement determines whether a referral qualifies for commission.

Turn an incomplete message into a usable brief

Incomplete: “A client needs documents translated urgently. What is the price?”

More useful: “With the client's permission, I am introducing a Hindi-to-English academic-document enquiry. There are two pages, both sides checked. The requested delivery is 20 October at 17:00 IST. The receiving institution's instructions are available; certification requirements need assessment. Please confirm the secure route for sending files.”

This is an example of briefing, not a quotation, service guarantee or accepted deadline.

Agree the commercial arrangement

Before referring work, clarify how leads are attributed, what services qualify, when commission is earned, whether repeat orders qualify and how refunds or cancellations affect it. Ask for payment timing and calculation rules in writing.

The programme does not authorise a partner to set Enuncia's prices, claim to be an employee or resell services without a separate arrangement. Registering a lead is subject to review and does not itself establish commission entitlement.

Use the template and follow the requirement

Download the reusable brief below. Complete non-sensitive context first and send files only after permission and a suitable sharing route are agreed. Do not put identity documents into public comments or social posts.

The partner guides expand specific issues such as scan quality, file readiness, volume and recipient instructions. If you are the buyer of the service, use Enuncia Global's client enquiry route instead of an affiliate application.

Download the editable text template

Plain text: open in a text editor or Word. Complete privately; do not upload client documents without permission.
