Do not overlook tables and form fields in a translation referral
By Enuncia Global ·
Tables and forms can hold essential information in short labels and tightly arranged cells. A referral brief should make these elements visible so they are considered alongside the main text.
Identify the structured content
List tables, form fields, checkboxes, notes and repeated headers. Explain whether the client wants labels translated, entered responses translated or both. If some fields are blank, keep them distinct from missing or unreadable entries.
Record the available source format and required output. An editable spreadsheet, a document table and a scanned form may need different production steps. Mention any requirement to preserve row order, numbering or the relationship between labels and values.
Keep interpretation out of the handoff
Do not infer a missing answer, expand an unexplained abbreviation or correct the source on your own. Flag questions for the appropriate reviewer. If the receiving organisation has supplied a format instruction, include it in the enquiry.
With the client's permission, introduce the material to Enuncia for scope and timing review. Referral partners can help prevent incomplete briefs by describing the document's structure accurately. Project acceptance and any commission eligibility remain separate from registering the enquiry.
